About Chris Kendrick

Born and raised in Ireland, Chris has engaged in physical fitness from a very young age.

Initially, it was soccer and the native Irish sport of Gaelic Football that had his focus and attention. However, at the age of 9, he was introduced to the game of golf by his father, and it was love at first sight. After a successful junior career in Ireland, Chris moved to the USA in 2004 to play golf under Mark Immelman at Columbus State University. He graduated Cum Laude in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. The same year he received the award for Outstanding Undergraduate in the Exercise Science Program. Chris then went on to complete his Master’s in Business Administration, also from Columbus State University.

Upon graduating, Chris began working at DiVerge Fitness, an exclusive boutique fitness experience located in Columbus. Chris’ role at DiVerge Fitness was multi-faceted, where his expertise in fitness and business were utilized. In addition to working with weight loss, anti-aging, and youth clientele, his main focus was on spearheading the Golf Fitness Program.

During his time at DiVerge, Chris worked with golfers of all ages and abilities, helping them improve physically so they could lower their scores and play pain-free golf. He had the unique opportunity to be part of 1987 Masters Champion Larry Mize’s team when he won his first professional event in 17 years in 2010. He was also fortunate to be a part of a record-setting season for the Augusta University Women’s Golf Team in 2019. Chris is currently a member of the Catalyst Fitness team in Atlanta who he joined in late 2019. Based in the south Buckhead area of the city, for over 15 years Catalyst has been transforming lives with their scientific approach to health and fitness. Chris continues to use his experience in fitness and business, primarily working with business men and women, entrepreneurs, and golfers of all levels and abilities.

Chris has continued to advance his knowledge of human movement and performance by obtaining several certifications and specializations with elite organizations. He has earned these through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), USA Weightlifting, the Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology Institute (CHEK Institute), Hardstyle Kettlebell (HKC), and Evidence-Based Fitness Academy Barefoot Training (EBFA). Chris also believes strongly in sharing knowledge and best practices with his peers. Sitting on the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Georgia State Advisory Board from 2010-2017 afforded him this opportunity in addition to presenting at several state clinics.

While helping others achieve their goals is his priority, he still heavily involved in sports with golf, soccer, and Gaelic Football still being a big part of his life along with Obstacle Course Racing. While Gaelic Football is a sport native to Ireland, the sport has a big presence in the USA. Chris has represented the Atlanta Gaelic Football team for the last six years and was part of their 2018 National Championship winning team in Philadelphia. If he is not working with clients or playing sports, you can find Chris traveling somewhere new and exciting or hanging out with his golden lab who keeps him on his toes.
